I know copyright is important to TikTok. If you post another users video with the watermark will this lead to trouble? In my case I reposted a video from my backup account and since then my fyp % in analytics has been low

yeah reposting copyrighted stuff and watermarked videos will definitely cause you issues. you should never do that, always try to alter the videos so that they seem original, you can crop/zoom in the video, upload them to other website then re-download, stuff like that, but never repost copyrighted stuff directly.
