Should I switch accounts from business to creator accounts?

Yeah, one of my accounts got it with less than 200 followers. 2-3/day posting frequency with high engagement. Still gotta wait for the 10k for the swipe-up, though.

I don’t think they are more or less severe with them. However I have heard if ya mess up alot, you can no longer be a creator account.

I have an account with 3k followers with the option to switch, I’m doing tests regarding the api usage of creator accounts, you might be right. How did you test it?

Even this is not true 🤦😂

I think it might be true from my tests.

I dont have the option yet, to switch so I have no personal experience. I browsed about the topic, and I have read about the API block an another third party app’s website. (Later.com) It said:

“However, while many of the new features offered on Instagram creator profiles are appealing, there are some downsides to making the switch. For example, Instagram creator profiles aren’t connected to the Instagram API, which means they won’t be able to use features such as Auto Publish or analytics tools.”

The creator accounts will be able to use Instagram’s desktop software for analytics and for other insighting purposes. I think its Instagram’s goal to use less and less people third party apps. So maybe they will really block API. Interesting times ahead for sure!

I will do some tests tomorrow, thought you were talking from experience…

hmmm, interesting. DMs are running through API or EB?

The question is if you switch to a creator profile , do you see analytics of your old posts or you see only from that day on?

Bs. I have a Creator account and I can bot/sponsor via Facebook without any problem.

If you had a business profile you can see the old analytics.

Lol. You serious man?

the creator account gives you options to handle branded content and paid promotions, it gives you the tools you need to be a creator while with a business account your main focus is on selling products.

I can’t see any differences in analytics and connecting to facebook, I can buy ads and manage my page from there.

Jarvee works fine with using the API.

Only from the day you switched to a creator account.

Nope. If you had a business account and then switched to Creator you can see all the analytics you gathered while having a business account.

Yes, why would I not be? You are saying my actual, real world tests are bs. So why don’t you validify your opinion for everyone to see. That way if it turns out to be true everyone can be benefited from it.

Not true. 13 chr

Unless you screw up the switch like I did. I switched from business to personal because my account was acting up (got a PV then 2/3 of my posts disappeared for 2 weeks) then I noticed the creator account option so then I switched to that. All my business account analytics were gone when switching from business to personal and didn’t come back when I then switched to creator. So don’t do what I did.
