Should I switch accounts from business to creator accounts?

What are the main differences besides simplified dms and more analytics?

  • There are some different features, including the fact you can directly sell products from the platform, in a creator profile. You can google it to see more prescisely what it’s about my friend, I never used one so I got limited informations.

  • Besides, you apparently can’t get posts promoted by IG ads, on a creator profile.

Did you try  ?

Not sure what the creator account entails. What’s the purpose of the account?

The biggest reason I opted out of the Creator Account is that it doesn’t allow you to have saved responses, which I find invaluable in client management.

Do you know if it affects reach?

Some basic information for you:

With an Instagram Business Profile You

CAN:

  • Get access to Instagram Analytics about your followers and posts
  • Promote Instagram posts as ads
  • Add links to Instagram Stories

CAN’T:

  • Go private on Instagram

With an Instagram Creator Profile You

CAN:

  • Get exclusive access to the Instagram Creator Studio on desktop
  • Access creator-specific analytics, including follow/unfollow metric and engagement stats
  • Filter your Direct Message inbox
  • Tag products from brands directly within a feed post

CAN’T:

  • Easily make the switch — Instagram is rolling out Creator profiles and it’s still unclear who will get access to the new profile
  • Connect your Instagram to any third-party apps

Hope these helpful for you!

So… just switched to creator on one of my accounts and half your list is wrong… lol

OK then what are the main differences in your opinion?

Links in Instagram Stories are available with an creators account too btw.

Nop, I can do post promotions in my creator account

I think that has to do with number of followers, once you hit the threshold, you can link in story regardless if it’s a business account or creator account.

exactly. At 10k you get that option.

No idea bro !

We should need to test this out

I’d suggest you wait until the beta creator time is over.

Slightly better analytics (follow/unfollow count), better inbox management, more specific ig account category tag, sponsor tagging.

And yes, you can still do promotions and also connect to third party apps.

I have a creator account and the only benefit I see is that you can access analytics on your desktop and you can see how many people followed/unfolled you but not their names

I still have 3rd party apps connected to my account

Does anyone notice if IG is more severe with creator account automation?

What does it mean “IG account category tag, sponsor tagging”? I don’t have it with my creator account…

The most important part of the creator account from our point is:
Instagram creator profiles aren’t connected to the Instagram API, which means they won’t be able to use features from third party apps. Basicly we can use only EB on Jarvee what makes things more complicated.

It’s also rumored that the new profiles will only be available to Instagram influencers who have reached a specific account standing, similar to the 10K follower limit for access to the Instagram Stories swipe-up feature.

I hope it helps.

10K is what I read too but one of my new slave accounts with only 942 followers has the options to switch.

What are you saying man? That’s not true!
I have like 4 creators accounts and works very very good on API, wtf are you talking about?!
