Should I use Shopify domain or my own?

Wondering if it would be a good idea to use Shopify’s domain, or my own?

It would be nice to use my own domain… but was just thinking maybe it would be nice piggyback on Shopify for their authority. Or maybe too with Instagram other other social media platforms… Like maybe if I post a link on a couple different accounts with my own unknown domain, then they will ban me, but if it came from a reputable domain like Shopify, then maybe it would be ok?

Just wondering what you guys think here.

Your own domain will always look better and give you more trust/legitimacy (which is really what you want if you’re running a e-commerce store).

I personally have never used a Shopify domain and always use my own .coms etc.

Totally agree with @Fonzie! If you’re going to do it, do it right & get your own domain name.
