Read in a previous post it’s good practice to private after 24h but heard new algorithm change means something can go viral after 1 week? Thought privating mediocre videos increases chances of being followed
yes it can go viral i only private if the video didnt get on for you at all or top audience some foreign country
can you explain more?
Do you wait only 24 hours or longer than that to see how well your video does?
2 days or however long it takes to see the analytics
I always delete underperforming videos after 12 hours or so… 
I should have been more patient. I will try to private them after 1 day instead of deleting them.
