I think they made the feature reaction for their algorithm, I heard about an experiment facebook did sometime ago where they showed posts about “Feeling Happy” in a number of users and the result is that those users also posted a positive post. I think the reaction feature is somewhat like this, to better know the post the poster is posting.

So basically, using the reaction as a way to vote is beating the purpose on why fb made it in the first place.

Yeah, didn’t last long but big pages still doing it. I guess FB will let them go with it simply because they’re big.

I saw 9gag doing it yesterday and CollegeHumor right now.
