Just saw this pop up in my news feed, interesting to see what they’re thinking about doing with the platform. What do you think this means for Instagram?
Facebook has more than 1.9 billion monthly users. It reported $8 billion in revenue last quarter, nearly all of which was from ads. Or, as Zuckerberg puts it, “I think we’re doing OK.”
Bastard “I think we’re doing OK”
$8 billion… and I thought he won’t ban my account if I spam and spend couple of $$ per month on ads
They capitalized off of what automation used to do… how dare they remove such services.
I don’t think it means anything for Instagram… why do you ask, based on the article?
As for Facebook, groups are great for some people. I personally find FB groups just as annoying as the rest of that social network.
Case in point: if FB groups were so incredible, sites like mpsocial.com wouldn’t be doing so well with such a loyal following. I would much rather be here than stuck in a FB group called mpsocial.
I guess what I’m wondering is if the direction of Instagram will adjust to “fit” the new gameplay for the whole company, as they’ve started making changes to IG as a platform to match FB over time, we still have yet to see what truly lies in the future for Business accounts, for instance.
Will we one day be “grouped” on IG and forced to pay for our content to show in someone’s feed, the way pages have been ruined.
Totally agree with you, FB groups have always been hard to follow, disorganized and just poorly designed in general - and they always result in fighting and arguments. I’ve never been part of a good group on FB, of any kind.
I hope that IG doesn’t become a clone of Facebook when it comes to marketing and building accounts.
it already is…
I think it’s similar, and from what it looks like, IG is getting close, but it’s not there yet. I think of IG as a significantly watered down version of Facebook.
