The good thing about the follow blocks

I know these follow blocks have messed up our typical process for growing accounts, that includes me. However, there are two approaches that can be taken:

  1. Cry, complain, and be hopeless
  2. Understand the situation and adapt to the new changes.

I’ve chosen the second option. I took a break from Jarvee and looked at other ways to grow an account, including more organic ways. Doing this had made me realize something: I had become lazy and let Jarvee do 99% of all the work. Because I had good growth numbers a and engagement due to Jarvee, I never really did a full audit on my account and growth strategies to improve them. I never really optimized my strategies to the highest levels because I felt as if any imperfections in my strategies would be offset by Jarvee. I just let Jarvee work for me. And it did work, but now I realize that if I had research more strategies earlier, I would have grown a whole lot faster, especially combining those strategies with Jarvee. Now automation isn’t dead, and everyone will get past it, but I would recommend for everyone to do a complete audit of their Instagram strategies/accounts, so it is already in a good position to grow without Jarvee, and when this whole follow block fiasco is over, you use Jarvee to add fuel to the fire and increase your growth exponentially.

Now I don’t have a whole bunch of accounts nor do I run other people’s accounts so it may be easier for me to adapt, but this is just something to think about.

Amen. We do become complacent when we are in a comfortable place. This incident will definitely push boundaries and test a lot of character.

Good luck everyone

OP that is facts. If ur still trying to automate im sorry but that shit is long gone dead & if ur setup is working great expect it to break down soon.

Jarvee was a great starting point & “confidence” booster in online marketing. but sadly IG is just not allowing it anymore.

I almost went mentally insane a month ago (losing traffic and leaving out +5k a month on the table) . But i decided to quit on automation and move on. I have to say its been the greatest move for me financially and mentally.

Im still stopping by the forum because i like this community its just sad to see it die :frowning:

Automation will aways have its place, especially in a digital world. The key for me is always automating whatever you can to save time, but combine that with some kind of reporting you regularly check so you can see when/if something breaks and take action. If you can’t automate something, my next step is to look at what a VA can manage for me. I consider my time the most valuable so whatever I can get off my place I do, while still maintaining control.

Any eye openers that you have realized after your audit?

Yes. Some are basic, while more are more advanced

  1. Low followers with high engagement always beats high followers with low engagement. Especially after you hit 10k. (I already knew this one, but it was really brought back to the forefront through this process)

2.Whatever your niche is, put it as your name. Go to edit profile-> Name and enter it in. for example if your niche is car videos, put car videos as you name. it helps with SEO

  1. Vertical Posts get more engagement than smaller sized posts.

  2. The more stories you post, the more views you get on your story (the most views are the first 2-3 stories after you post around 10)

  3. On your stores put things such as polls/sliders etc. so followers can engage with your post. if there are two or more of those things, the engagement will increase and your story will be shown to more followers. If you do a quiz, respond to everyone that got the question right (and even to those who got the question wrong) because that builds a relationship with your followers and they are more likely to like/comment/share your posts

  4. Don’t be afraid to dabble with going private. Going private helps you focus more on building engagement, and it can also increase your follower count if you have many engaged followers who share posts to their friends through DM (Be careful with this one though. Only do this once you hit around 10k followers. You also lower your chances of going viral due to no explore/hashtags. Also, if you do it too often, IG may stop you from switching from private to public, which means you lose all of your follow requests.

  5. You can use just about the same amount of hashtags in a story that you can in a post. If you don’t want everyone to see the hashtags, just make them smaller and put a sticker over it. Also, you can find hashtags to use by looking at the top posts in a hashtag you want and copy them

This isn’t everything because I didn’t want to make this too long, but these are just some things to keep in mind

Great tips, thanks!

i respect your decision to quit because you didn’t want to deal with the problems and hustle/stress that comes with it, but i disagree with your opinion about it because automation is the future bro!

all what i know is : learn ,adapt ,overcome!

Bro keep on going then!

Well said!

Yeah, I talked with a lot of people in the forum and this situation made us think about alternatives. Not just that a lot of us found them very fast as a lot of people here running clients with expectations.

I would also say that this issue is an opportunity to grow instead of giving up.

Some just are not cut out for it, you happen to be one of them.

Your message was…deceiving.

Really good point man. The truth is though that organic growth is impossible without automation, unless you post half naked women. If it were I’d be the first one to stop it. I’d rather grow without it but slowly than with a bot but faster.
For an average user (not a VIP, actors or someone who has other means to reach people), even with very good content, there are no shortcuts to grow. I tested it on my account. I stopped all automation for a while and even bought quite a lot of Ads (basically I was spending as much as I’m spending now for VPS+bot+proxy) to compensate for the loss of followers. The net growth was still negative. Sure there must be a point were if you spend x$ than you’ll gain followers but that’s just not sustainable for normal people. And it’s not about the content. I’m a pro travel photographer who wakes up at sunrise when I travel and don’t just snap pictures at noon.
I’ve checked some of my colleagues who I know don’t use any automation. Some of theme are really pretty girls but they don’t post pictures of themselves where they are half naked. Keep in mind that usually girls get more followers than guys, yet they all have the same pattern: starting from about October of last year there is no growth. Period.

Unfortunately you are right.
No automation slows down (almost stops 100%) the growth, even if you use other organic growth methods.

I am considering hiring a person to do manually what the automation did, to keep it grow.

AI and automation is the future. I think it will have a similar if not larger affect on the world as the Industrial Revolution did

While I was surfing on CPA Elites a while ago, I came across a guy that had a signature similar to this:

“I automate to save time to create more softwares to automate”.

It didn’t make sense to me in the first place, but I got it eventually.

What I get from all of this recent cock up is that Instagram killed 3rd party bots in order to create their own, “legitimate” version of them which will be a substitute to ads.

You mean that IG will create a form of automation for its own app, and the revenue from that service will make up for low ad revenue?

That’s what I would do if I own the platform, but unfortunately I’m not.

Kill the third party competition and create a “legal” replacement of it sounds reasonable for me.

It would provide an alternative to ads (second stream of revenue) so the client won’t feel like there is no choice for him and social media managers would get another tool to play with, maybe even those who don’t deal with likes like Jarvee on daily basis.

Or I would maybe just buy Jarvee? Unfortunately I’m not an owner of insta or any other multi billion business so it’s all my speculation.

The only issue I see is that if IG created a legal form of automation and marketed it, everyone would do it, and IG will just be full of bot accounts (Well, it’s already like that anyway lol)
