Transferring all data to new machine

I am following the guide to get software setup on a VPS so I can stop running my PC 24/7 & using up all my resources. Everything has gone well, but I want to clarify something before I continue further.

The guide says in order to copy data just navigate to the software folder in appdata\roaming\SOFTWARE_NAME, but I am wondering if this is correct as I know that simply copying all files of an installation can mess things up in some cases. I just want to make sure all of my profile data & tool settings are xferred properly & everything remains intact.

Thanks in advanced for your help.

  1. First you need to have the software installed on VPS and be sure it is stopped.
  2. Just create an archive of entire folder from your PC then extract everything on the VPS (same location) by overwriting existing files.
  3. Start the software and you will have everything in order.

NOTE: Do not forget to exit the app from your PC before creating the archive and remove the PC license. Otherwise on the VPS you will not be allowed to use the app.
