Hey everyone, just wanted to make a quick post to see what your personal experiences were when running an unfollow cycle.
Typically how many followers do you lose when dropping from your high 6500-7500 back down to your lowest unfollow number? I’m curious what others run into.
For me, at the moment I’m losing about 10 followers per 500 unfollows. Not sure what the total percentage loss will be at the end, but it’s fun to watch (or, well, not fun because it’s consistently going down but uhh yeah, sociology and science)
I don’t think this is actually important. Users who unfollow you are probably fake users (read: bots) who use Mass Planner or some other automation software that will actually check if you’re following them or not and based on that unfollow you or keep following you.
Real users, the ones you want, the users who followed you because they’re interested in your profile and content will keep following you.
Just think about it, would the avarage Instagram user, the user who is on IG because of its content, go through his followings list and followers list, compare them and check do you follow them or not? I don’t think so.
Oh it totally makes sense, I’m probably over-analyzing and just in too deep.
Though I remember when I started before automation I would manually unfollow people when I noticed they didn’t follow me back, unless they had something amazing that I needed to see.
I do follow and unfollow at the same time.
In the last couple of weeks, there have been lots of days that the number of my followers actually decreased. Despite following and unfollowing about 1,000/day, I have about minus 30 followers at the end of the day. I thought there was a problem with ‘unfollow after x days’ tool, but apparently there wasn’t. Does anyone have an idea as to what might be causing this dread?
I was checking this a lot when my accounts started out, after a while i didn’t bother with it…after you get bigger you won’t loose anymore, you will even gain organicaly.
