Yes, the videos on Fb seems to get a higher reach than photos, try with a couple and see for yourself.

Interesting. In my own experience, facebook usually boost different type of post depending which get’s higher reach.
I see pages that focuses more on photos and get higher reach on photos than posting text or videos and vice versa.
I think the page you mentioned realized that their videos are getting higher reach that’s why they are focusing on it.

Yes. definitely yes.
And you can easily see this for yourself:
Go to a page you admin --> insights --> posts --> post types
and you will see that videos get more reach than the other 3 types of posts,
