Why is Instagram customer service so terrible?

I was looking at the Instagram Platform policy and contacted a customer service agent about a specific policy to find out the specific meaning of the policy and he couldn’t give me an answer as to what the policy meant…
Bear in mind this agent was policy specialist…

It’s utterly ridiclous, I see time and time again people complaining about FB/IG customer service and the poorly written policies.

Why does it feel like Instagram/Facebook doesn’t like their users and only care about profits. You would think for a billion dollar company their customer service would be at least reasonable.

They don’t give a shit about you. You get disabled;they don’t care, Hacked ;they don’t care, impersonated; they don’t care etc etc etc.

I witness celebrities breach policies all the time and they never get shutdown. It’s like they allow celebrities to breach policies but the average people/businesses get shut you down instantly from breaching one policy.

Since they have way to many user i think they spend all the support resource trying to automate everything support related. But yeah they should improve it!

“Why does it feel like Instagram/Facebook doesn’t like their users and only care about profits.” Because that’s literally how corporations work, particularly in a largely unregulated industry. They only care about their stock price.
