Some people just have way too much time on their hands. What really got me in all this is this wasn’t an individual. This was an agency writing this. The fact they focus on things like this and not their client did explain to me however how the account only has 3000 followers in 4 years. I half feel like contacting the account owner directly and trying to poach them purely out of spite 
You’re gaming the system to get on someone’s notifications just to get them to pay attention to your page, with no honest interest in that person’s content.
I don’t understand how you go from “I’m not an active user” to “I’m more than comfortable”.
Obviously you’re comfortable with something you don’t have to deal at all.
The lack of user experience/perspective that some have, while managing clients, is astounding.
You guys only see your side of the coin, while tricking thousands of people daily with the oldest trick in the book.
The best part is that the lesson you collectively take from this push back against your “tactics” is “spam the shit out of the guy who complained”.
The way you get the attention is way more important than how much attention you get.
Not that any of you would care, since you’re doing it for clients you don’t give two shits about

I’ve been using automation for 4 years now and have never complained about the software not working.
My only “complaint” was that my accounts were getting flagged for using software to post, a few months ago.
Since you have the time to go through my post history, I think you should extrapolate my “lessons” to you.
I couldn’t be any more clear about it and it still flew over your head after going through all of my posts.
Any time I try to “share and educate” I always get the same backlash from the hive mind that doesn’t know any better than doing F/UF, decides to get hateful about my different perspective and shuts down any educated discussion about it.
Honestly I’m just here to provide a way for you guys to farm likes by getting angry about not knowing my secrets

Ehhh, back on topic here, I’ve had this happen a few times with less aggressive wording.
Often it’s something like a sad emoji with “Byeeeee!” or something similar to rub it in. To be fair, I get mad when certain people unfollow me, but specifically those that I’ve had a DM conversation with, engaged in comments on eachothers pages, and then “white listed” them as a result, planning to not unfollow that user.
It’s a huge personal slap to face, and really rude. If it was someone random, eh, shit happens and you move on… no need for a crazy message like the OP.

There’s a lot of unfollows that I feel guilty about tbh. I find myself manually refollowing people and coming up with an excuse lol.

The way people do it here aren’t that bad, at least they are managing some client account (which has content) and/or using child account with some posts (hopefully).
For first few months of the year, I was getting tons of follows from accounts with just empty profile (no post, just a girl profile picture, a lot of those account sharing the same 10 profile pictures too) with obviously made up names (xxx.xxx## with xxx not even English names). They are completely obviously just follower collecting accounts that provides zero value. Sometimes I would get like 10/day.
I feel like those were the real reason why IG start cracking down on bots BIG TIME this past 1.5 month. Imagine for an average Joe on IG, for each comment/like on some big account he makes and ends up with 10+ of those spam follows, he is less likely going to to want to be as engaging on IG. It’s bad for IG’s business if fake engagement actually discourage real engagement, they had to put a stop to that for sure.

I have gotten some hilarious threats too. I wish I remember them all, I need to start saving screenshots. So I have a travel blog for at least a year now and since April, I got a new (sexier than me) travel buddy and our first trip was to the Philippines (very common bikini wearing vacation spot). My first post of Paola in it was https://www.instagram.com/p/BvrMqcAFyP8/. It’s not inappropriate at all but some old lady actually messaged me threatening me if I post one more pictures of with T&A, she is going to unfollow. Thanks, angry old lady, don’t let the door hit you.
