Facebook recently launched an upvote feature for comments within a thread.
Does anybody know whether extra upvotes results in better engagement for the post? Just keen to find out!

It’s still in beta, and only in a few regions so there’s little information about it. From what I’ve seen, the upvotes only order the comments, and do not affect the engagement on the post overall. But yeah, this could easily change at any time. It might have even changed already!

Interesting…worth taking note of anyway. It could be the new method of gaining engagement. It’s hard work at the moment on Facebook.

At the moment I have only noticed it being available on news publisher’s FB pages. I’d be interested to see if upvotes/downvotes do benefit the reach of the post as I see them as an equivalent engagement action to a like.
