I understand if it was Instagram then I could ask for a shoutout, but how does such promotions work in Pinterest? Should I ask her to pin a few of my products to one of her boards? Maybe create a board around my products on her page? Can you think of a Pinterest promotion worth paying for by influencers?
Instagram is now becoming huge with influencers marketing, so I guess Pinterest could take a similar route.
I’m quite new to Pinterest, so I thought i’ll ask around for a better advice.
Have you checked her profile and pins, is there engagement there?
If I were you, I would ask her to pin 1-2 pins from your site in next 6-7 days and see how it’s going to work for you. Then you’ll know is it worth it or not.
I’m still having troubles understanding what is good engagement on pinterest, it seems to me that you could see the amount of repins from the first pin, but you cannot determine how much of these repins have been made from this specific user/board.
Yeah, that’s how it is now. It was different before, you could have seen how many repins and likes each pin/repin got individually.
Still, there are ways to check it out, see if she has her website in bio, then check her pins, see is there any pins pinned from her website. They are pinned by her, so you can see the engagement on those pins and expect something similar for yours.
However, engagement can be easily faked with bot accounts.
I guess your best shot is to ask her to pin couple of pins from your site as I mentioned above.
So she offers to create a board for my store (she has like a million boards already), and pin my products 5 times a day for 30 days for $10.
I’m just sharing this as I think it’s a contribution to the forum as a marketing idea/concept.
I think it’s a decent offer in itself, but like I said she has too many boards already and an inactive youtube channel as website, and I don’t like her attitude trying to rush for the sale, so I think I shall pass this time.
Might be wrong here, but when you have something of value you try and sell it with a high price. If she knew she could send a lot of traffic your way she would have asked for a lot more than $10. My guess is she’s just fishing for small bucks.
