This is true and I noticed that on my account. However I’d say do it every now and then so they categorize your page as a business page that pays them, and I notice my page is exempt from the outages that happen to a lot of accounts lately. But yes, once u do ads they mess with your organic.
In my experience, making you instagram account a business account does not drastically affect organic reach until you start running ads. It’s like with any growth method that is not purely organic, once the momentum subsides the organic reach recedes. There’s no right or wrong answer, but I do fall on the side that running ads lowers the amount of organic reach from your profile
