If you are folloing the 6000/30 theory then you need to determin how many follows your clients where doing on average across a 30 day period. Then see how far above 6k you are and the average daily actions taken will tell you how many days before you are below 6k. Not sure it that makes sense but here is an example…
Total Actions taken from 5/9 to 6/9: 14000
Average actions taken on a daily basis: 466
Days needed to wait before falling below: 18 to be safe
14000 - 6000 = 8000/ 466= 17-18 days
hopefully my math wasnt shit hahaha…please feel free to correct me and or simplify what i said
Very true but I am assuming that everyone complaining is doing some sort of mass action taking. Whether botted or physically taking said actions. Why am I assuming that, well its because there are not as many issues being reported on the down detector which historically has many thousands of reports on a daily basis when there is an issue that effects the general public as well…also Instagram normally addresses every ones complaints via twitter when such a serious issue effects the general public. I see only people on forums complaining and I don’t know them personally there for I don’t know if they are really telling the truth as to whether they did or didn’t take massive actions…That being said, there will always be people experiencing issues that similar to what we are all seeing but that isn’t due to the massive actions.
I need the 2 numbers i mentioned to be able to answer how many days you will need to wait (based on the 6k/30 theory)
how many follow actions were taken on the account over 30 days?
what is the average number of follow actions taken a day?
Keep in mind im speaking towards a rolling total… meaning if on day 29 you performed 600 actions and today you performed 0 then tomorrow your total follow actions will decrease by 600. Hopefully that makes sense. to you can definitely come up with a specific date but then you need to use exact numbers. if your follow actions are to far apart in the amount taken then the average wont help you so much in determining the day which you can resume. You will just need to do the math manually.
with all this said, im tired haha so maybe what im saying makes zero sense.
The thing is follow block IS NOT the only problem Inst and FB are experiencing these days. And they were addressing them on the developer page, which also showing problems with there official API.
Also TheSun was reporting on Instagram problems since 3d june, but bans came only 4-5 june, if i remember all correctly
agreed 100% definitely not the only problem and I don’t think there will ever be a day there are no problems for them to face. This one just happens to effect us more then any of the others that are out there. I’m glad we are all here to work together and find solutions as problems arise.
Yeah thats pretty weird huh… I just went onto a blocked account and tried to follow an average user and no go then the Olympics (verified) no go…then, kim k (verified obviously haha) and it worked.
I mean it isnt weird, I totally get why that is the case. They give priority to those that draw the most amount of users to the platform, she bring 140m haha
this is only for the last 11 days, The theory is based on a 30 day rolling total. please provide the total over a 30 day period and all of the actions per day.
also it is not my theory, but the theory of other brilliant minds on this forum I just applied it
so your account is action blocked from following but you didnt follow over 6k accounts within a 30 day period. I just want to make sure we are not confusing the followers you got for the follows you did.
