I’m not a big believer of coincidence and everything must have a reason for. When we are talking about IG - there are tons of possible reasons.
Some times IG simply does not accept a bunch of “account + proxy + device id” and helps to change something of it. Sometimes it’s not enough and the reason is deeper.
Anyway, the easiest way to check is it a proxy or not - simply set the proxy on mobile phone and try to perform the same action.
