From my testing it appears that Home and Profile tend to always be in the list and the 3rd item in the list changes.
I posted a photo with a location tag and waited for about 10-15 minutes, viewed my insights and I had Home, Profile and Location impressions with a few in Other.
I then boosted my post by hitting it with a lot of impressions and likes. This then boosted my post in relation to the hashtags I had used, I then checked my insights 20 minutes or so later and Location had been removed from my list and replaced with Hashtag.
My Other had also increased, now giving the impression that Other included Location.
I further tested by checking the Location I tagged in my post with an unrelated/unlinked Instagram account and my post was still in the top 9 for the location.
I only have 5k followers and my account is a personal Photography account, so I haven’t been trying to focus on hitting the explore page as yet.
I great way to further the testing here would be to post, using location tag, hashtags and make the post hit explore.
@Alexnvo On the example screenshot you shared, Hashtag is not displayed. May I ask did you use any hashtags at all for this post? If not, have you got a post that hit the explore page and you did use hashtags with, as It would be very interesting to see the insights of that post.
you want explore above profile in insights – else it does not go viral. Others is vital as often these are DM’s sent to others from people who seen the post.

none use hashtags – sometimes I use location if I feel like it.
Location and hashtags are a joke today in Insta… I stopped using that garbage last year and never looked back…out of my pages – 80 percent hit explore…
Yes but not everybody has acces to powerlikes,IG can work in misterious ways to many factors to take into account.
Maybe if you don’t use hashtags but have access to powerlikes it can work for you,and if you don’t but use right hashtags it can work for someone else.
that is very true with one caveat – the content MUST be viral material, else all the powerlikes on the planet really won’t help.
Who ever started that idea you JUST need powerlikes, JUST need hashtags to make it in top nine was person selling a course on how to make it there. Another thing to keep in mind –
Only people who want to grow accounts follow hashtags. I do not know of one person who follows them such as a account.
Hashtag explore is made for the individual person, not for whole IG anymore. A 'Viral’able post can run circles around hashtags for sheer numbers. Hashtags also have to power to kill posts being seen…
with these two – the power of hashtags are infact crippled.
I would like proof, of post after post in infact it is the hashtags or the post? The hashtags may get you there, its the post content that makes it a success or not. You don’t need powerlikes/hashtags IF the content is good or the account is big. if small( < 25k) it would need to grow more. f/u works fine still/EG groups work too…Shoutouts are the fastest… but growth in hashtags – be it on the post or in stories IMO is a joke and a waste of time

No doubt content is the most inportant,but there are many other factors,we can’t be 100% sure of anything since we don’t work for IG.

I usually have this account private however I am using for shoutouts for my new account …now it grows at a snails pace of 200+ a day. Before it averaged 600+ when on private … no hashtags used as it gets good follower likes and saves first 10-15 minutes. See’other’? That’s the key as it along with explore gets you there
what is other? I know theres talk saying it’s people looking at their following tab and dms. But i have a post that went pretty viral likes were coming in insanely fast like 10 likes a second and so much discussion in the comments. Perhaps it could mean the other explore channels? I just say this because the engagement seemed way too explosive and organic the way it was happening to not be from something like users coming and liking my posts from seeing it in a dm or their following tab.
The posts were albums btw and the account only has 13k followers
I use albums to reach explore all the time. Please send that account – message me, I will send you my little one you can see. t does not have insights yet . that other I think is sharing in DM’s the biggest chunk of it.
I WISH I HAD INSIGHTS!!! for this one. It goes up and down on post likes big time. I need to find the best time fot it. Saves, on your insights tell alot
i dont think that’s true… i think if the post has not reached any explore page then it’ll go under other… cause on some of my accounts some posts have explore section and some dont… so i think it’s totally dependent on the post…
