[youtube] how they do this?

I found some videos on youtube under their description showing this additional infos

when I click on “View attributions” I get redirected to the same video.
any help tips are highly appreciated

If the video was stolen and reuploaded by another channel, it’s probably linking to the original upload - or since it was edited with the YouTube Video Editor (as in that screenshot) it refers to the source videos used.

Quote:

Commonly this occurs if they have used the YouTube Video Editor to edit a video, clicking on the View Attributions would show you the source videos that were used to edit that particular video together. In this case clicking on the link doesn’t show any sources so the uploader may have deleted them or made them unlisted or private.

Or do you mean credits? https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6057492

I found the same info when I googled this, but I don’t think it’s accurate. As far as I remember, none of the videos I edited with the video editor ever got the “view attribution” link.

Besides, the attribution link shows up in other videos too. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWA2pjMjpBs

What source video was used, I think is probably the cause. If it was all original content uploaded, then there’s nothing to attribute, in theory.

In that Rihanna video my guess it’s they’re crediting VEVO (from the way it looks) for copyright/monetization tracking, because her channel doesn’t look like it’s an official VEVO one whereas most artists that upload them are “ArtistVEVO” or whatever. A lot of her other videos on there don’t have any extra attribution, so maybe it’s just them claiming it incorrectly.

I’ve figured it out, when a video edited by Video editor it refers to the original video, but in my case the original video was private this is why I was confused.
thanks guys
