Anyone succeeded in changing TikTok account location?

Do you have to activate the simcard? and put balance on it? Did you have TikTok send a verification code to this usa simcard? the only usa simcard i can buy expire in 30 days. So i was planning not to activate it. What are your thoughts?

Some people (I think) said activation balance is not important, and sim card in enough. But yes, I did everything, I put balance on it and even made a clean TikTik SMS verification with the original US phone number. Verification was fine. But still something is not really fine with my account. When I even would see the “about 200 users” for tiktok testing content. I see them on “some” videos. And also there, hours needed to get views.

You are also from Germany? I can give you a hint where to buy a card. Write me a private message then. And I hope you have more luck then I. I did not get managed to get any US viewers.

I’ve tried VPN on a different device and a test account. Got 0 views, while with no VPN and just a foreign SIM card, I’m getting thousands of views almost right away.

Perhaps TikTok has an algorithm to not allow posting the same videos? I tried to move sequences a bit and also change coloring, but perhaps TikTok still notice that these are similar videos (just in two languages) and so block it?

As I said, I already followed your advice and removed VPN. But seems not to be better without.

Perhaps I should try a new account again. :frowning:

I’ve never posted the same video twice. Even on a different account, I always shoot a new video. Also, if you’ve already used VPN, I would suggest making a new account and starting from scratch. At least what I would do.

After i got the us sim card, i found the videos on my fyp are kinda changed but i can’t see random lives that pops up on fyp. Do anyone knows how to change this ?

You won't have shadowbans and blocks as long as the IP addresses across all your accounts are consistent. So for example, if you're going to run an account in Germany you ought to use proxies that have German IPs. If you want to run an account in Germany but use US IPs, you'll get blocked instantly. Also, remember to use 4G residential proxies, preferably with non-rotating IPs and that use real cell phones as hardware, you do not want the hardware signatures to change.

but how can one manage clients accounts from other countries, let’s say we have 2-3 clients from the US and 4 from Asia

and I’m located in Europe, how that can be done?

Hi Nik, thanks for the great info. I’ll try this but quick question to verify: Are you using regular home WiFi to upload or your SIM card mobile internet? You said your SIM is inactived so I’m guessing wifi but just wanted to make sure.

Yes, I use my home WiFi with it. If I’m filming outside, I use my regional SIM card with mobile data, save to drafts, and post using my foreign SIM card when I have access to WiFi.

Something else that works for me, if I’m not at home for too long. I switch to my foreign SIM card, refresh the app, insert my regional SIM card, and post my video. If you don’t refresh the app, you are still on the foreign TikTok, therefore they will push your video to the desired country, while using your regional SIM card’s mobile data. Not sure if this will work for others, but it does for me.

Beautiful and very interesting, thanks for all the valuable information.

I wonder if it would be possible to “train” the algorithm for another country by just religiously posting in the foreign language… Especially if you have a few million followers outside-Tiktok that you can direct to. I bet it would be absurdly difficult even if it’s theoretically possible.

Anyways, I am waiting for my foreign SIM card to try your method. Wish me luck and once again, thank you so much!

I’ve tried that. My audience is 100% Asian. Even with thousands of followers, if I post using my local SIM card, they automatically push my video to my current location.

Yeah I saw that you wrote that above. I was thinking if you still shared in the foreign language for some time, would TikTok start testing them out on other geographic regions and find the correct one? I guess that’s a farfetched possibility since it won’t try much once it sees it doesn’t work in your own area.

Not sure about that. I only post in English.

Hi Nik (and everyone else),

I just wanted to report back and say that Nik is completely correct in everything he said. I tried his method to the letter (foreign SIM, US phone, from country: US, posting to that foreign country) and it works like magic.

So I can confirm that TikTok is checking the SIM card for location and posting the videos to that location and not to your WiFi or IP location (same thing for FYP).

Thanks @Nik this was a life saver for our brand.

Hi, I haven’t tried that since it is way too difficult in theory. You would probably have to direct a lot of traffic to your channel from elsewhere (like via Instagram) and make them like, save, share, etc. It’s quite the challenge and it may still not work in the end. I doubt anyone who’s not Mr. Beast or something would be able to do this.

And since I’m here… It’s still working with a foreign SIM. So the method stands.

Also, if you can somehow get a hold of a content creator manager from TikTok (there is not a way to contact them directly, if you’re big enough they may contact you), apparently they can set from their end where your videos are released, regardless of your SIM or location. But this is not a feasible method (and there isn’t a way to request this) for everyone but just keep in mind.
