Hello,
Few more details please:
When you created your profile - when inserted Thai SIM card or it is your old profile?
How you are uploading your videos - using wifi or sim data?
What kind of sim you are using - prepaid or contract?
So, you are saying that TikToK switches you to region of your sim card, but not your wifi IP?
Best regards,
@Vytenis_Andrenas Hi. I registered with my local European SIM card. I never made a 2nd account. Literally 90% of the FYP content was from my area. Since I’m only here during the pandemic, I wanted to focus on growing a Thai audience. A high quality Thai VPN didn’t work for me. I also heard it was risky.
I do have a prepaid SIM card, which I use in Thailand. It says “No Service”, since I don’t have roaming, but it automatically starts showing me Thai content. I currently use it with my home WiFi. And if I need to film outside, I use my regional SIM. I post videos with my Thai SIM, which puts my content on the Thai FYP. My audience is 100% from there.
Thanks a lot for your answer. It’s more clear now. Your success may be also combination of both - your Thai sim and your Thai wifi IP. And I’m located in my country (Lithuania) and want to have audience from US - not sure if that will work - as I my sim card provider country will not match my wifi IP country. But should try. Thanks anyway!
Also, which country you were located when you succeeded - your country or the country you want your content to be showed?
I haven’t been to Thailand since I registered. I’m at 34k followers now. And my WiFi IP is European, so they don’t match, but as far as I know, with a SIM card in your phone, TikTok only considers your SIM card’s location. IP doesn’t matter. I’m a bit concerned about using this method, when I’m clearly not in Asia, but no issues so far.
Keep in mind that this is my own experience with TikTok. There is no official information about what works, and what doesn’t.
That’s wonderful! Thanks a lot again!
No problem. Just be sure to clear your cache and close the app, whenever you’re switching SIM cards. You should be good. If it was an issue, I’d be suspended/banned by now. I’m surprised I can even go Live. People get suspended for literally anything.
did u already buy the USA sim? it workd?
please keep me up when the sim arrives. thx
do u think if I buy one of those traveler sims for USA, it can work? or u think should be only a well known Communications company like At&t or T-mobile ? thank u for ur response
Hi guys, I ordered an USA SIM card, and once it arrived I put it in my phone and my fyp was completely from USA. But the problem is that I have created a new account, but I get 0 views, even my personal views on the video didn’t count. What is the problem? I used an USA SIM card + I was connected to my Wi-Fi. I think TikTok shadowbanned me, again. What should I do?
did u clear cache before n after?
@StalloneItaliano Why did you make a new account for that? People travel all the time, so I assume changing the SIM card is totally fine for TikTok. I’d use my main account.
@juanpa_sanchez The asian SIM card I have is a regular prepaid one, and it works perfectly. As long as yours is from a USA company, you’re good.
I just realized the sim I ordered is not supporting data if recharged after 30 days (it is rechargeable prepaid SIM card). But as I understand, it should not be concern as I will be using my wifi anyway?
Sim card should be US native, not let’s say UK made for using in US
Yes.
Mine says “No Service”, since it’s active, but I’m not paying for anything like that. They still detect it’s original region.
Guys, I’m going to make another account, uninstalling the app, clearing the cache and if this time I will immediatly get shadowbanned again, I don’t know what to do honestly.
Could you please provide more info about Memu app player option? Share your experience - the more detaisl - the better. Thanks
