Send them the information they ask for. If you dont have it, photoshop it or get it photoshoped by someone else.
There is - probably - no way around this. For whatever reason they put you into the business category.

First off, thanks for the guide! The gmail trick is awesome.
Here’s a little bit of a backstory. I lost my personal account with over 14k 3 days ago. No proxies used whatsoever and MP was only liking as small number of posts (200-400 per day) so should had been a problem either. Normally, I wouldn’t bother to recover it but I had a ton of business DMs and a very good engagement so I’d love to get it back.
I already appealed 6 times but only got 2 responses with instructions to send my picture with the code. Anyone else experiencing issues with the appeal process recently?
Just make a good selfie and repeat the process until eternity
Even if I don’t get a response on my appeals?
Do it every couple of days.
Send one appeal on Friday and got the account unbanned on Tuesday. Account created on 04.08.18 (rooted android and mobile IP), reposting 1 pic every day, 350 f/u/day, 40-45DMs/day.
An appeal is a 2 step process. To which part of the process are you not getting a response?
I didn’t get the initial „Take a selfie“ email for 4 out of 6 emails. So I basically only got 2 codes and sent 2 selfies.
P.S. I used different emails. 3 with Gmail and 3 with my own email accounts.
In what timeframe?
3 days… 2 per day.
If you continue like that you will get your account locked for some time.
What do your recommend? Is every 2 days ok?
Step one should be to go to the route of the problem why you don’t receive their initial E-Mail. Spamming them over and over on the same E-Mail with the same result won’t do anything - sadly.
Yea, that’s why I stopped sending the form. I thought that it’s just a delay but it’s 2 days now and still nothing.
Sometimes they have delayed sending but that sometimes on the weekends (feeling wise). Normally the respond comes within a few minutes.
Strange. I think I will skip sending any forms today and try tomorrow from another gmail alias.
Account got reactivated a couple of minutes ago. Thanks again for providing your guide! I’m pretty sure it’s not the last time I’m going to use it.
Happy to hear that it worked for you
So I got my first ban a couple of days ago and followed these steps (badly) .
As I rushed it and didn’t read the guide properly I thought I would share my experience which may help others see how easy this actually can be.
So, I submitted a form to request reactivation. I gave my name and email address and chose UK (not US like in the guide). I submitted this using a proxy (first mistake).
I then received an email asking to provide a selfie, so I took one, stripped the meta data from it and sent the selfie to them.
I then came back to this topic and realised that I shouldn’t have used a proxy!
So I used the same name and email address as before but submitted the form via my laptop (no proxy).
I then went through the selfie process again, stripped the meta data and sent the selfie.
Then I realised I hadn’t included my username in the selfie! (At this point I though damn I’m so stupid).
So I then went through the process again, using the same name and email address.
Today I was unbanned! I got two emails almost at the same time from two different people. One saying that I need to send a selfie again as I hadn’t done it properly and the other saying I’ve been unbanned!
I’m chuffed to bits! Even with my stupidity and screw ups I managed to get an account unbanned!
Thank you all!!!
Sometimes, maybe, mistakes are good… if at the very least it shows that you’re human. Maybe. Possibly…
Still waiting on my important personal account to receive a selfie request after 2 hours
2 hours? Hmm I literally got 2 request within a couple minutes… maybe because I used UK as the country at around 6pm - maybe a non busy time…
