Instagram Follow Block - Mega Thread - Level 1 [SERIOUS]

I use Blazing Proxy residential proxies on all accounts, only 2 accounts per proxy. If anyone has better recommendations would love to know more.

I use InstaPy running on AWS that I have edited (I’m a developer)

Each account runs for 10 hours over a 24hr period - with hourly limits as well.

I only follow - I stopped liking in February (but I think I’m going to start up a few likes a day to make it ‘seem’ more realistic).

As you said - the ‘resting’ calculation to work out when the block will be removed doesn’t work for my accounts, not even with the accounts that followed over 6k (they were only at 6100 etc. so should have unblocked quickly!). Unless other action needs to be taken - like notifying IG and sending an actual help/error message?

I have a client who is still getting the action block notification on his account… but the weird thing is the follow still goes through and he is able to follow the account despite getting the block notification.

That’s really weird. It’s the first time I hear about this.

What happens when he/she refresh the Page? Does The following disappear?

Got the same thing, but follow disappears after restarting the app. Does her 100% stays?

I just tried, follow will disappear immediately i think

I think that this was actually reported a few times already on blocked accounts.

Hello.
I apologize in advance for my English :frowning:
So:
I have new accounts where I have never used a bot, I entered them on jarvee, of course 1 proxy per client.
I’ve been in this “business” for 3 years.
The account was given a blockade after 40 actions.
Daily limit-200
Everything is done.
Security at the highest level.
I tried every possible option.
The account gets further blockades where the bot has never used it.
I have so with 5 new accounts.
In general, I have about 200 accounts.
90% blocked.
5% - they can do after 400-500 follow on the day where they are with me for 3-8 months.
The next 5% can do after max 200 per day.
The rest got a block.
Some over 6000
Some under 6000
I can not find a recurrence.
My situation does not match 6000/30.
It analyzes everything about 10 hours a day and I still can not answer why these blocks are.
It seems to me that this is a big instagrama failure like every now and then.
During these 3 years I have encountered so many problems that problems like this do not impress me anymore
It treats like an exchange.
There are mountains and there must be wells.
I like this situation because then “account promotion amateurs”
They leave and the market remains for professionals who do not give up but analyze every situation and do not panic.
Therefore, learn every day of your business, analyze everything, and do not take money, type in jarvee and work done, a month of vacation and the bot will do everything yourself.
It does not work like that :frowning:
In the end you will face this.
At this moment, he analyzes data every day, tries different ways, and I wait and do not panic calmly.
If you are the heart with this business and not only for money and you have very good contact with customers, almost no one will go away just listen to you because you are in the eyes of the client professionals whom you can trust
So I will let you know if I think of something or find a pattern for it
At this moment, we can only support everyone, analyze, try and wait
I wish you all good luck

I’ve found on buffer that in June 6 there was a bug on FB. For Buffer user the consequence was a failure in auto post.:

Facebook Service Disruption

Resolved - Facebook has marked the issue on their status page as [Resolved]. We are now seeing the publishing of updates for Facebook and Instagram (and other aspects of related services) returning to normal. :raised_hands:
Jun 6, 03:24 PDT

Update - While Instagram’s API is not specifically mentioned within Facebook’s report of their disruption, it would be a related API and it does appear to be impacted by the same issue. As such, you may also experience failed updates for Instagram until Facebook has a resolution in place.

Monitoring - Facebook has reported a major service disruption which is impacting several of their services. Due to this issue, we have seen an increase in the number of updates failing to publish through Buffer to Facebook. We’re monitoring Facebook’s status and hoping for a quick resolution.

I also do auto post but with Later and i’ve got the same problem.
I’ve been blocked on IG in June 5, again in 6 and again in 7 and this last two days, auto post on Later failed.
FB report the problem solved but on Later still auto post are not working. Also, I didn’t have any problem in auto post on FB, just on IG, so perhaps that bug affected also some IG functionality or parameter dunno.

well thanks for sharing that report with us bro ,they missed up and we paid for it!

I had them exit the page and return back to the profile and it was still following.
I’m going to check with them later to see if it’s still going on.

https://developers.facebook.com/status/issues/2298401886902830/ - Resolved on 6th June.

So guys here is my 1 cent (there is many accounts +6000 that is blocked I thought that if I show to you this print screen should be more relevant).

I normally do 500-600 max follows per day (5 days following and 5 days unfollowing). 60 to 90 minutes interval.

As you can see, 95% of the accounts with +5000 follows last 30 days got follow block!
Important to mention, there is many many accounts working(60 to 70%), let’s be patience this will pass.

I’ve been loitering this forum since I got a follow block of my own June 4 and joined just now to say thanks to everyone and how helpful it is to see you sharing your experiences—so, thank you.

Having now read nearly every available resource about this, I’d echo the following observation: a new ‘rolling follow limit’ makes the most sense for Instagram’s objectives. It modifies and reduces promotion behaviour while avoiding the undesirable action of permanently banning (ie deleting) accounts that run promotion (of which we now know, there are many, some not insignificant). When actions fall below the new rolling limit, I expect blocks to lift. If true, this seems fair.

My own account dropped below the 6k follows over 30 days threshold two days ago with no respite in sight yet. However, it has been the target of various blocks over the past year; perhaps these factor in somehow too, giving me even less room to move.

What we are experiencing is clearly the culmination of a big project at Instagram. As mentioned before, this follows the ‘Following Their Footsteps’ report FB produced in October and the ‘reducing inauthentic activity’ media run in November. There are big financial motives for them disrupting what they term ‘reciprocity deception’. (As an aside, I would say their choice of language ‘reducing’ is a telling signal to how successful they expect their efforts to be).

A thought on 6k/30: Given how Instagram AB tests feature updates, I‘d be surprised if they weren’t also running a sizeable control group for the current disruption initiative against bots, and are testing a number of factors at once. This would explain why not everyone is having the same 6k/30 experience. Such an opaque approach also sows confusion, something Instagram have sought to do, as demonstrated by their policy to not discuss limits.

Observation:
Proof the algo changed, socialblade currently can’t pull from any instagram account effected by the block, seems other larger accounts still work though

That is very true. For these platforms it’s not about removing any of the spam, it’s about reducing it or fighting it the best they can. I really enjoyed watching Dustin’s four part series on “Who is Manipulating the Internet”, which you can find here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.

Since the follow tool is still blocks… what do you do with your clients profile? I personally stop all the actions but after a week i need to restart something:

  • like 0 -50 per day
  • unfollow 0-150 per day
  • like comments
  • story view 0 - 30 per day
  • delete comments (for the spammers)

Nigh mode enabled and all the settings are veeeeeery random

I need to do that since i can’t stop all for another weeks (i need money :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) since the block disappear. ( 2 of my clients drop to 5300/5200 and they can follow again)

What about you? Let’s alk about something interesting :call_me_hand:

Not true. Just tried 2 accounts effected by blocks for 6 days now which were both able to pull data.
