Hey guys I’ve been following this thread for a few days now with interest and concern. I have 2 accounts, 1 personal and 1 business. Personal is fine but that’s because I’ve not used an automation service on that.

On the business one, I’ve been using Social Sensei for about 3-4 weeks so I don’t think they went over the 6000 figure people are mentioning but I’m pretty sure they were exceeding 200 follows a day on my account. I’ve been follow blocked since last Thursday apart from following some of the high profile accounts others have mentioned. I’ve turned off all activity with Social Sensei and have just been doing some manual liking and commenting.

Hoping this will work and the block will lift soon! I’m so concerned about this as I’m currently just starting to build my brand awareness. My account was only about a week old when I started using SS so guessing that’s been a factor. I guess I’ve learnt my lesson the hard way and should have done a lot more work organically on my own before I reached out to an agency. :frowning:

That is the thing @Arthuditu , people should worry about all the information instagram employees are getting from this foruns and also some company names and company owners so mmmmm what to think about it? Don’t know :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Apologies if I’ve misunderstood but my account has a follow block yet I’m still able to auto post via Later and Later has marked the image as posted (so the image exists check worked)?

Check your IG account. I didn’t notice the failed post on Later calendar (web), there it looked posted. I’ve noticed because Later app sent to me a push message in order to verify the image.
In June 5, 6, 7 where you able to autopost with Later? I have an auto post scheduled in 6minutes, let’s see what happens

If we speculate, we all have one more news :slight_smile:
Facebook is supposed to introduce its cryptocurrency.
It will probably be paid for advertising on FB and IG.
In order to raise the price of cryptocurrencies they had to make changes for the bot so that people would later buy a cryptocurrency which would win the price of cryptocurrencies :slight_smile:
Of course, this is speculation.
But I thought so :slight_smile:

@Lea I can confirm you that today, the auto post schedule on Later was successfully published few minutes ago.
However since in June 7 and 8 the auto post failed (according to FB API bug was solved in June 6) I would say that actually the API bug on FB, as supposed by Buffer in that article, affected also IG.
Perhaps only certain accounts, perhaps created also other problems, who knows

Later auto post worked on the 6th when I was already blocked, and earlier today the 10th when I’m still blocked - no problems. I didn’t have any others scheduled.

My engagement is shockingly bad… 1/4th the likes I normally get though.

What are you guys telling clients asking for refunds because of this? I’m relluctant because it’s honestly not our fault, plenty of normal people are having the same issue. I’m saying to hold out till Friday and if we’re not boosting again by then I guess they can have their money back…I’m kicking people out of the clan permenently that want to bail on me right now

If you do give refunds I would do pro rated refunds.

So based on the amount of days they’d have left?

Yeah so my advice would be first try to get them to stay on and just be like hey wait it out and I’ll add that many days onto the bill.
Example if the accounts down for 7 days give them 7 more days from the original end date.

Or if they just don’t want to wait it out give Then a pro rated refund meaning you still make whatever your daily rate is for the day it was running.

Example say you charge $100 100/30 =$ 3.33 a day
If the account ran for 20 days before the blocks 20X3.33 = $ 66.67 ( what you made for the work you did )
And then refund them the remaining $33

@chriskostantewicz no one ask me refund until now, but only a few got follow block btw they know me, they know my services and they know I’m doing my best to keep providing the best possible.

To my best clients I’m telling them that at the end I’ll offer some days, that’s all I can do, and if they ask refund, no, there is no way to refund, I’m losing my time in many threads but also studying and learning to keep on top for what? To refund if instagram makes changes? No way to refund here.

So I just manually followed one person, who is my Facebook friend as well, which the accounts are tied together. And then I tried to follow another person, who I do know personally but don’t have on Facebook, and I’m follow banned again :joy:

The one person that I followed shows up on my list. I show up on their list. Both on web browser and phone app after multiple restarts and launching in private browsing mode.
