I turned off ‘Follow Specific Users’ and used ‘Follow users that interacted with posts on target accounts’
But, I got this on my Scraper
All my slaves are running on Mobile Proxies.
Found one scraper did around 900 API calls.
But, I can not compare it with the API calls on the Main account as it has been running the whole day.
Since the main was running even before turning on scrapers, I’m not sure how I compare them.
I will start a few main accounts tomorrow and I shall test this with them.
I’ll keep you posted
Thank you
wait why would it do that? since I send scrapped users from my scrapper to main and the main account is set to follow users from list of users + latest feed? unless I’m getting something wrong here
When sending posts, the main account is just seeing the list of users, it doesn’t see the source which the scraper used. When you set it up this way the main account knows which account came from which specific source.
Hey @Hadi
I just tested one of the main account, which hasn’t followed any users yet.
This how my main account and the scraper looked before start follow
Main Account
0/9 API successes (hour/day)
0/0 API errors (hour/day)
Scraper
32/35 API successes (hour/day)
0/0 API errors (hour/day)
Then I waited for my main to follow 5 users.
This is how it looked after 5 follows
Main Account
20/20 API successes (hour/day)
1/1 API errors (hour/day)
Scraper 17
32/35 API successes (hour/day)
0/0 API errors (hour/day)
It seems Scraper didn’t do anything at all. Only the main applied filter on the sources and started following users.
I might have done something wrong.
I just need to check this.
I will try with Hashtags.
Thank you for your help
Well, I stopped all the other scrapers, except 17.
And yes, I took the risk of running all the accounts.
I will run all these accounts for another 24hrs and see.
Thank You
@Hadi All my accounts completed their daily limits.
Since they were newly profiled, their daily limits were around 10-15 followings per day.
So, all completed the designated numbers. That’s why I’m writing here, without waiting 24hrs.
Just to be sure, could you please look at the screenshots below and tell me, whether these numbers of API success/Errors are normal or not?
These are my settings/filters
API Success/Errors (After 14 followings)
NOTE:
All my scrapers are showing this error as well
Thanks @Hadi
I’ll add more sources.
Just needed to share these numbers here.
These are from the accounts that already have ‘Follow Specific Users’ filled with already scraped users as sources.

I see a considerable difference in the number of API calls.
It seems still my scrapers aren’t sending users their way.
Do you think those numbers of API calls normal?
I think I should contact support, as I have plenty of sources already.
Please see below.
155 sources in the Hashtags
238 sources in Follow users that interacted with posts on target accounts
Thanks for the detailed report!
To better refine your test, remove the “slave” tag from the scrapers and leave them only on 2 accounts, see if those 2 do more API calls than the others (make sure you have delays enabled or you could get them banned).
The main accounts api calls look normal to me.
also,
this means the scraping is done, it is finished, and it won’t have to call a scraper to scrape new users.
Turn that source off for your test as well.
Report back to us your findings,
Good luck!
@Hadi, Sorry I’m late.
Well, I’m not doing it right at all. (As it seems)
I kept 2 scrapers running and 10 slaves expecting those scrapers to send users to follow.
After testing for 24hrs, both scrapers did around 100 API calls.
And 10 slaves did almost 500 API calls. And 3/10 were action blocked.
I’m going to contact Support.
Thank You so much for all your insights.
Keep up the good work
Thanks a lot @Hadi for all the inputs and this nice method!
I have applied this approach.
Main account handled manually.
5 slave accounts on a 4G proxy to feed the main.
7 scraper accounts on DC proxies.
Plan was to parameter repost tool on one slave account to do posts on the 5 slave accounts via a campaign. This for few days then start f/uf.
But at the end of the first night mode and before any action (expect one repost content sent to the campaign), the nightmare started lol.
3 of the 5 slave accounts are locked in a verification loop (“help us to …”) and only one of the 2 still “valid” performed the post.
The 7 scrapers are in “pending” status. I clicked “verify” on one of them and it’s now in verification loop. I hesitate to click “verify” on the other ones lol
All these accounts were 2 years old
This is due to the new IG update I guess
I’m getting this error too and I tried everything, still haven’t found a solution. I tried the opera vpn method, the jarvee “fix get help signing in” method, tried logging in from a phone. Nothing.
I’ve even had a few of my friends get this on their phone and they never used automation. I believe it’s something new IG is testing. I used to get this error on accounts with cheap proxies, but now it’s happening on mobile proxies too. If anyone finds a solution let me know
what are the quality of your scrapers? im beginning to experiment with different ways to get them to hopefully last longer, with less verifications. replacing every 3 days is annoying.
i was using cheap accounts on DC proxies. Im going to try quality accounts on residential proxies. and instead of doing 1:1, it will be more like 2:3 -> main:scraper
how to make sure the main account not using API after trying this method? my main still using API
and just now my account got temporary blocked cold_face:
any additional info? maybe i set it up wrong.
what i mean do we have to turn on scrapers tools? how about the sources tab in scrapers keep them unchecked?
thank you Hadi
