šŸš‘ Recap - Don't give up your banned Instagram accounts! We can save them!

great thanks!

any news? is it still working?

As the forms are up an running: Sure

Hey, two things. I got an artificial ban but I didnā€™t actually do anything wrong I unfollowed and refollowed like 80 ppl so I guess they thought I was a bot which is frustrating because it was a couple year old account with 35k followers my main account. Chances I get it back?

Also my friend told me that unban support has been down is this true? Specially artificial ban support? Thanks.

Day 41 10 accounts running 0 unbans

The team that is reviewing appeals is still working, there is also no team for ā€˜artificial bansā€™
To get your account disabled via Automation, you must have either ignored many warning signs, gotten really unlucky with the algorithm, or done something else you are not aware of.

On another topic:

We are getting increased reports of users getting their account back, just to find it disabled shortly after. It seems the algorithm is simply re-flagging whatever caused the ban in the first place. Sometimes there is less than 12 hours between reactivation and being banned again.
This can happen multiple times in a row.

Does it still work?

Can only quote myself here
This is is a labor-replacing service, as long as Facebook is unbanning accounts our method will always ā€˜workā€™

From your experience what are the clear warning signs that an account is likely to be disabled from automation?

Automation is a broad field, I doubt IG intends to ban users that do things F/UF or Likes.
It might get picked up by the algorithm but for punishing they have Action Blocks, Verifications, and Shadow Bans. No need to kill your users for something that in the end you profit from.

Things like DM / Comment automation would be something else, as that impacts the use/feel of the platform for everyone else + the content is usually total crap (CPA spam etc.)

So warning signs would be literal warnings issued by IG, such as a Temporary Lock, Verifications (EV/PV/Video Selfie), Action Blocks, and so on.

I opened an appeal myself the other day and got the email to send a code etc. but donā€™t really want to send a pic of myself in and my friends keep flaking on it - is it okay if I sign up to ur site and start on there even tho I have a pending appeal open?

Absolutely, as long as you didnā€™t mass spam the form prior there is no issue with this

waiting for unbanned :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy:

I can 100% verify this, unfortunately. I got an account back & within 12hrs was deactivated again for a story from 16 months ago! Like that isnā€™t even available to view anymore & it was from before the current TOS change. Talk about some bullshit.

FYI - Iā€™ve had at least one account running with recap for about 3+ months now. Although it shows that they have unbanned one of my accounts twice, it was actually manual appeals I submitted myself that caused the unbans the next day. I know others have had success but my results have been mixed so far.

Did you receive confirmations mails for these? If so, thatā€™s pretty lucky as most people nowadays get nothing

22 Unbans have been made in the last 7 days - not sure if @nd4spd27 is the guy Iā€™m thinking he is, so letā€™s be fair and say 18 for good measure.
Quite a few unbans within 24hrs, which matches what @nd4spd27 said, the rest is either below 7 or over 30 days of runtime.

I received the email asking for a mugshot on one unban about 3 weeks ago & the other was about 2 months ago so I donā€™t remember. Iā€™ve recovered these 2 different accounts probably 8 times combined now over the past year. I think Iā€™ve received an email confirming reactivation like once. Usually someone else tells me my account is back. I check like once a week now just to verify myself since often IG donā€™t inform you.

FYI - I always submit form 5038 & 9083 at the same time so Iā€™m never quite sure which one is the winning ticket. Iā€™ve used the intellectual property rights form successfully one time as well despite being deactivated for something else.

try appealing manually from time to time, thereā€™s is no way weā€™re sure itā€™s actually appealing everyday like they say on recap, and we canā€™t see the backlogs of their email repliesā€¦ So we can only trust their word on this, but in reality who knows how many times they really appeal every monthā€¦

Btw I also recovered my account a few months back doing a manual appeal, and yea, it was running on recapā€¦ Just as the guy mentioned above me didā€¦ So that could be a sign

While some points are true, the bigger picture is different.

Correct.

Never intended, hence not available. With automatically generate appeals that might have been a good addition, but we have moved past that stage.
As our team uniformly agreed on not sharing selfies that were taken, I ask you a counter-question: What do you want to see (expect the obvious )?
The code email? As IG stopped responding almost a year ago to most appeals, that would be the only thing that is available, and it doesnā€™t even contain the username.
An alternative way would be forwarding those emails, but we use real email accounts with various providers that have proven to give us the option to appeal with a 100% submission rate. It would be a nightmare to manage all of those third-party platforms and their quirks (interfacing with them without an official API, avoiding account deactivations due to excessive sends, etc.)

Did you get a confirmation email that the issue was resolved? If not, how did you pinpoint whose appeal caused the unban? That is the biggest issue here. If they would supply emails like they used to, that could be shared, but they donā€™t.

Thatā€™s how it goes. If you donā€™t have an email to back it up, you will have a hard time proving anything. No matter if you are Recap, or appealing for a client

Everyone is free to appeal either by themselves or hire someone dedicated for it that they (more or less) can control, though Iā€™m sure not even an Indian/Pakistani/LowIncomeCountry Fiverr guy would commit to daily appeals if you give him $20 a month.

The reality is, most of our happy customers will not speak up here or anywhere else. They use our service for their business accounts, clients, slaves, CPA accounts, or their personal ones. We are fine with that, as we know they exist and see them coming back once they have a new batch to appeal.

But sometimes we also get a nice and simple Thank you

In the end, it comes down to trust. If you donā€™t trust Recap, then there is not much we can do to change that at this point, but we have noted these concerns for a V2 - maybe pixelated faces of the selfies? We are always open for ideas.

To be honest. It should not become available. It comes down to trust. People who want that backlog will also question the ones you will provide because they could be ā€œfakeā€ as well. This would also put more work on your plate which would lead to increased pricing. Increased Pricing would lead to more dissatisfaction with your loyal customers. So the only thing that I believe would make sense in that case would be an ā€œbacklog optionā€ that costs extra credits per day.

I believe in this Service but I also believe its strongly dependent on the current state of Instagram. Sometimes its faster, sometimes slower. This has nothing to do with how good Recap is doing their job
